Minimum wage for Long Island to increase on New Year’s Day

On New Year’s Day several new state laws are set to take effect in New York.
The minimum wage for Long Island, New York City and Westchester will increase by 50 cents to $16.50 per hour. For the rest of New York state, the minimum wage will be $15.50 per hour.
