Jennifer Summers from Brentwood has filed a lawsuit against the MTA for $1 million in damages after she was thrown off of a Long Island Rail Road train in July.

Summers claims that the MTA failed to protect her from a man who pulled the emergency stop lever as the train was pulling into the Brentwood station and then grabbed her by the elbows and threw her off the train.

The MTA declined to comment on the lawsuit.
