A small plane crashed Thursday afternoon on Shelter Island.
According to police the 1974 Cessna 182P Skylane, crashed near the Klenawicus airstrip on Shelter Island.
The aircraft left from Danbury, Connecticut, and was landing on Shelter Island.
The pilot and a passenger were not injured.
