East Farmingdale, NY-  It’s dubbed the unofficial start to summer but the weather this Memorial Day Weekend on Long Island, will feel a bit more like spring or fall.  WALK-FM Chief Meteorologist Pat Pagano, says a cold front will move in on Friday night with soaking rains which continue through Saturday morning.  A Coastal Flood Watch is in effect for part of our area through Saturday, there is also a high rip tide risk at the south shore beaches.  On Saturday, it will be windy, expect drizzle and unseasonably cool weather, temperatures only reaching the mid 50’s.  On Sunday, clouds and cool temperatures plan to stick around and a rain shower is possible.  High temperature on Sunday in the 50’s.  Monday could be the day to plan that BBQ with friends and family, it will start with some early rain but then dry out with sunshine in the afternoon and a high temperature of 65-70.
