Gov. Cuomo announced Monday that most pandemic-related capacity restrictions in New York State will be lifted beginning on May 19.
That means no limits to how many people can be in store, restaurants, gyms, amusement parks, hair salons, barbershops and offices
The only capacity limit that will remain in place is for large outdoor stadiums. Capacity for those will go to 33% on the 19th
New York will keep social distancing requirement in place except in the case of gatherings at events where all individuals present proof of full immunization or a recent negative COVID test. Indoor face coverings will also still be required for the time being.
