Suffolk County Police say a 21 year old from Flanders was seriously injured Thursday morning in a motor vehicle accident on Sunrise Highway in Shirley. On August 20th, 2020, authorities say Kevin Flores-Salgado was traveling eastbound on Sunrise Highway on a 2017 Kawasaki Ninja when he was struck by a 2005 Toyota Sequoia that was changing lanes. The Toyota driver, 54 year old Jean Cassamajor of North Babylon was not injured. Flores-Salgado was transported to Long Island Community Hospital with serious injuries. Suffolk County Police Department’s seventh squad is asking anyone with information to call 631-852-8752.
