The FBI and Nassau County police discovered skeletal remains at the Underhill Preserve in Jericho on Wednesday.
Officials say they were searching for a victim of the MS-13 gang after receiving a tip from an MS-13 suspect in custody.
Tests will be conducted to confirm if the remains are human and to possibly help determine the individual’s identity, as well as a potential cause of death.
