Christopher Miller , The man accused of murdering his father at their Dix Hills home Wednesday went before a judge for the first time yesterday and pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
Miller who is facing one count of second-degree murder, told the judge and said that he did not feel comfortable with the lawyer assigned to him and entered the plea himself. He faces up to 25 years to life if convicted for fatally shooting his father John Miller, a retired Suffolk County homicide detective and Wyandanch fire chief.
