Crescent Duck Farm in Aquebogue is closing following the bird flu outbreak that forced the farm to euthanize its entire flock of nearly 100,000 ducks.
It was the last remaining duck farm on Long Island and had been in business for 117 years.
The Department of Labor says all 45 of the employees at the Farm will be laid off this month.
$18,000 was raised at a fundraiser held at the North Fork Brewing Company to help out the affected employees this past weekend.
