A fire broke out at the Macy’s in the Roosevelt Field Mall yesterday afternoon.
Firefighters responded just after noon and found open flames on one of the escalators between the first and second floor.
Shoppers had to evacuate the mall, It reopened once the fire was put out but Macy’s remained closed for the day. There were no injuries.
