A Baldwin man is accused of scamming a 73-year-old North New Hyde Park man out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
According to court documents, the suspect retrieved 6 gold bars, valued at over $390,000 from the victim who was deceived by a notification telling him that his computer had been compromised and he needed to protect his assets.
The suspect was arrested in connection with a similar scam in Suffolk County last summer.
