Manhattan College and Nassau Community College announce articulation agreement

Partnership supports transfer students seamlessly transition and have the opportunity for merit-based scholarships

JULY 2, 2024, Riverdale, NY – Manhattan College announced a Principal Articulation Agreement with Nassau Community College (NCC) to help NCC students transfer credits seamlessly.  The Agreement establishes a mutually beneficial partnership between the colleges that will promote degree completion and create a more efficient transfer process.  NCC transfer students who satisfy the requirements of the Agreement will be able to matriculate into Manhattan College with a junior year standing.

With this Agreement, NCC graduates with a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or higher can be admitted to most programs at Manhattan College.  And, students who have earned a 3.0 GPA or higher will automatically receive consideration for merit-based scholarships at Manhattan College.  Students have to apply for full-time enrollment, be on track to complete a degree, and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to renew the scholarship.

“Our collaboration with Manhattan College promises to enrich our academic community and broaden the horizons for our students,” said Dr. Maria Conzatti, Chief Administrative Officer. “This partnership embodies our shared commitment to excellence in education, innovation, and community engagement. More than just cooperation, our agreement represents a united effort to empower our students to reach new heights. We look forward to the remarkable opportunities this partnership will bring and the positive impact it will have on our collective journey.”

Milo Riverso, Ph.D., President of Manhattan College said, “We are delighted to have enacted this Agreement with Nassau Community College and know it is a win-win for both institutions: NCC students are easily able to complete a transfer process to finish their undergraduate degrees and Manhattan College derives the benefit of increasing its student body with high achieving individuals. We look forward to having them join our community on campus in the very near future.”
