Suffolk Police say an Israeli flag was ripped down from a Kings Park diner by man wearing anti-Semitic clothing.
The suspect reportedly took the flag down outside of Professor’s Diner and threw it on the ground on Saturday. He then came back Tuesday morning, made obscene gestures at patrons and attempted to take the flag down a second time. A customer confronted the man and stopped him from taking the flag.
The Hate Crimes Unit is now investigating. No arrests have been made at this time, and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
