The Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry Company will be adding a fourth vessel to its fleet; it’s the first addition in more than 20 years.
The Long Island, a new 1,000-passenger ferry, will be christened in Florida on Friday and is expected to be in operation here by late fall.
The company says the boat, which can hold about 120 cars, will enhance service and give them more flexibility.
