Long Island to receive $87 million from new federal spending bills

More than 50 Long Island projects will get nearly $87 million in federal funds from recently enacted appropriations bills.
$5 million each will go towards road elevations in Amityville, the Smith Point Bridge Replacement, and the Brentwood Workforce Training Center.
Additional funds will go towards improve sewers and water mains, upgrade libraries and police departments and other projects across Long Island
