Today is the 86th Anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. That was the princess that started it all and made way for all the other princesses we know and love today. The Walt Disney picture was nominated for Best Musical Score at the 1938 Academy Awards and Walt Disney was also awarded an honorary Oscar for the film. The movie has inspired remakes, attractions in the Disney parks and an upcoming live- action film. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was also ranked among the 100 greatest American film in the American Film Institue and in 2008 was named the greatest American animated film of all time.
