This week Total Request Live or TRL turned 25!!!! The MTV hit debuted September 14, 1998 with the host Carson Daly. The show changed over the years, but it started as a way to bring artists and fans together… interviews… and of course music videos! It was a big way for artists to push what’s next and of course for us to vote on what music videos we wanted to see. I always voted Backstreet Boys!
The show only lasted 10 years in it’s first run and Carson Daly has gone on to host The Voice and The Today Show.
