It’s Almost A Barbie World

FILE - Ryan Gosling, left, and Margot Robbie pose for photographers upon arrival at the premiere of the film 'Barbie' on July 12, 2023, in London. “Barbie” is set to open across the Middle East on Thursday, Aug. 10, but moves by Kuwait and Lebanon to ban the film — apparently over it's alleged LGBTQ themes — has raised questions over how widely it will be released. “Barbie” is now officially the highest- grossing movie of the year in North America beating out “The Super Mario Bros Movie.” Mario is still the highest grossing movie globally with $1.35 billion but “Barbie” isn’t too far behind at $1.3 billion. “Barbie” continues to break other records too like the highest- grossing film domestically for Warner Bros beating out “The Dark Knight,” and it could be their best worldwide release and take down “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.” ($1.34 billion) as the studio’s highest-grossing worldwide release in 100 years.

Don’t forget Sunday is National Cinema Day and you can see any movie in most theaters for just $4!
