Did you know that Grease was a Broadway show before it was the movie, we all know and love. The Broadway show opened this day in 1972. It later inspired the 1978 movie starring John Travolta as Danny the head of the T-Birds and Olivia Newton John as Sandy who is taken under the wings of The Pink Ladies. The movie and Broadway musical take place in the 50s and is gets more and more iconic every year.
