PD: 3 arrested for selling alcohol to minors

Riverhead, NY- Riverhead Town Police say three people were arrested Thursday, for selling alcohol to minors. According to a press release “the Riverhead Police Department COPE Division in cooperation with the Riverhead Community Awareness Program conducted an investigation into retail establishments in the Town of Riverhead.

The following subjects were arrested and charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st degree PL 260.20.2, a Class A Misdemeanor.

1: Chaudhry Afzal a 56-year-old from Riverhead NY, an employee of Sunoco 4123 Middle Country Rd., Calverton

2: Recep-Can Karakoc a 24-year-old from Riverhead NY, an employee of Mobil 415 E. Main St., Riverhead

3: Karen Aparicio-Quintanilla a 35-year-old from Riverhead NY, an employee of 7-11 245 West Main St., Riverhead

All three defendants were arrested and transported to Riverhead Police Department where they were processed on the above charge. Same were released on a desk appearance ticket”.
