Yaphank, NY- A woman was killed in a car crash after her vehicle broke down on the Long Island Expressway. Police say on Saturday, April 24, at approximately 3am, a woman was was standing in the right lane of the eastbound Long Island Expressway near exit 66 after her vehicle had broken down and that’s when she was stuck by a car. Officials say the woman was struck by a 2015 Chrysler 300, the driver and passenger were not injured. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
