(East Farmingdale, NY)- On Monday morning, just after 5am, a Boars Head Truck traveling eastbound on the Long Island Expressway, collided with the overpass at Shelter Rock Road, Exit 35. The driver and sole occupant of the truck suffered serious injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The eastbound travel lanes on the Long Island Expressway remain closed exits 34-36 because of the ongoing investigation. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-224-TIPS or call the Homicide Squad at 516-573-7788.
