(Miller Place, NY)- A Suffolk County spa is in hot water with authorities. Officials say they conducted a raid at the Shangri-La Spa & Bodywork, on Route 25A in Miller Place on Thursday night and uncovered multiple violations. Police say two of the spa’s employees were practicing without a license and that the Town of Brookhaven building inspectors and Fire Marshall found the site to be in multiple violations. The spa was ordered to close. Two employees were arrested and charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession, a Class E Felony under the New York State Education law and are scheduled to be arraigned later this month.
