(Ronkonkoma, NY)- A tragic story in Suffolk County where police say an elderly woman died on Thursday, while unloading groceries from the trunk of a car. Officials say 80-year-old Marisa Orlando, was removing groceries from the trunk of a 2014 Toyota Camry, which was parked in her driveway, on Hawthorne Avenue in Ronkonkoma, when the vehicle rolled over her. Marisa’s 84-year-old husband, Pietro Orlando, was sitting in the drivers seat at the time of the accident. Pietro was uninjured. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
