(East Farmingdale, NY)- A blast of winter weather is on its way to Long Island. Heavy snow is expected Monday in eastern Nebraska and Kansas along with a stretch of freezing rain across the Ohio Valley- and that storm, will be sliding to the east and pushing up to the north for Tuesday. WALK-FM Meterologist Pat Pagano, “light snow will begin to fall across the island around lunchtime (on Tuesday), then mixing with sleet and changing to rain and drizzle into Tuesday night”. Pat says to expect less than 1 inch of snow before the change over to mixed precipitation begins. Temperatures will hover around the freezing mark Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. For the morning commute on Wednesday, icy conditions are possible, with a mix of rain or snow.
