(East Farmingdale, NY)- More cases of the UK variant of the coronavirus have been found in New York. On Wednesday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, said there are two clusters of the new COVID variant in the state, one upstate and the other cluster was found on Long Island. The upstate cluster connects back to a jewelry store in Saratoga Springs. On Long Island, the Governor said there are two cases in Nassau and two cases in Suffolk. The UK variant of COVID-19 is said to be highly transmittable. Officials are urging Long Islander’s to wear masks, wash hands and continue to practice social distancing.
