(East Farmingdale, NY)- Hospital capacity is being carefully monitored by New York State officials as more people test positive for the coronavirus. According to data from December 5, 2020, 1858 Long Islander’s tested positive for COVID-19 and another 689 were hospitalized on Long Island with the disease. 108 patients across Long Island hospitals are in ICU beds.
The 7 day average for Nassau and Suffolk combined is 5.4%. In Suffolk the 7 day average is at 5.9%. In Nassau the 7 day average is 4.8%.
