(East Farmingdale, NY)- Long lines at early voting locations were reported again on Wednesday at some Nassau and Suffolk County polling sites. Election officials in New York City on Tuesday voted to extend voting hours. Nassau County Executive Laura Curran on Wednesday issued a letter to the Nassau County Board of Elections requesting that hours be extended. According to Newsday, as of the time of this article, officials in both Nassau and Suffolk, do not plan to extend voting hours. Absentee ballots can still be requested in person at the Board of Elections offices in Nassau and Suffolk County through November 2, 2020.
