U.S. News and World Report has ranked Nassau County as “The #1 Safest Community in America”. County Executive Curran was joined by Police Commissioner Ryder and District Attorney Singas to discuss the designation. At a press conference, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran called the ranking a “team achievement”. With an overall score of 100, U.S. News and World Report said that Nassau County performs best at per capita spending on health and community services.
