Demi Lovato was rushed to the hospital yesterday, reportedly because of a drug overdose. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to her Hollywood Hills home where she was reportedly unconscious. A representative for the 25 year old said Tuesday night:
“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support. Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
The singer has been open about her battles with substance abuse, and just recently released a new song about breaking her sobriety.
Demi’s ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, is “shocked,” according to PEOPLE Magazine, and is “heartbroken” to see her in back in this dark place. Many celebrity friends have also reached out to Demi on social media:
Like all of you I am thinking of @DDLovato right now. She needs our prayers and support. We all know how strong you are Demi. #prayfordemi

We’re back together.” She did say that ONE former member has been difficult about the reunion, but , “…she’s being roped in.”
