The first 97 donors starting at 4 pm will receive a WALK 97.5 YESTERDAY AND TODAY "STANDING ABREAST FOR A CURE" CD. The hospital is located on Montauk Highway is West Islip.

Victory Day celebrates the triumph of those who have already beaten breast cancer and offers their example as inspiration to those whose fight continues or is just starting. The 12th annual Breast Cancer Victory Day is taking place September 12, 2008 from 12:00 to 2:30pm at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, with three exciting guest speakers: renowned cancer researcher Diane Esposito, Ph.D. from Cold Spring Habor Laboratory; pioneering psycho-oncologist Marlena Vega, Ph.D., a third-generation survivor; and breast cancer survivor Jeannine Grantham, who will share her story of coping with the challenges of her illness and its impact on her family and friends. The Long Island Railroad will provide free round-trip transportation from Penn Station to Port Jefferson on the Breast Cancer Victory Train.
