Hollywood's slowest weekend in five years saw "Bangkok Dangerous" top the box office with a mere seven million

Wanna be in "Iron Man 2"? Director Jon Favreau is auctioning off a walk-on role on ebay. The bidding ends next Monday and the proceeds will benefit cancer research.

Radio City hosted "Fashion Rocks" Friday night- Hosted by Denis Leary, the two-hour show will air tomorrow night at 9 on CBS- during the show, Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Beyonce and the rest of the women of "Just Stand Up" took the stage to perform the benefit single that was broadcast live for the TV fundraiser special "Stand Up To Cancer" that aired Friday on CBS, NBC and ABC

It was also the first time that Beyonce was out in public sporting her wedding ring- an 18 carat diamond worth 5 million dollars.

Guess KT Tunstall will also be sporting a wedding ring- having married her longtime squeeze and drummer Luke Bullen, in a small ceremony in Scotland on Saturday.

Britney Spears made an appearance this weekend- opening MTV's Video Music Awards and then hitting the stage three more times to accept her own moonman awards.

New in theaters today- Nicolas Cage stars in "Bangkok Dangerous" as a hit man in what he's calling the wierdest movie he's ever done- and that's saying something.

Aaron Eckhart says his character, Two-Face, did not survive the fall in "Dark Knight" and won't be back for the third film.

But who's coming back? Ghostbusters!! Yup, Daily Variety reports that writers have been hired to write a sequel that would reunite the original cast -Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson for what will be the third installment of the comedy series.

Guess who else is coming back? Dr. Mark Greene, who checked out of the ER a few years ago, will reportedly be brought back for a scene with new ER staffer Angela Bassett... the 15th and final season premieres September 25.

More of the Closer? TNT is working on a spinoff of their hit drama- in what's looking like a season of spinoffs-- with FOX working on one for House, and the CW interested in spinning off from Gossip Girl.

Tonight at 8, one hour, three networks as "Stand Up to Cancer", a fund- and awareness-raising special airs tonight on ABC, NBC and CBS The hourlong show will include the performance of "Just Stand Up," a charity song featuring Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Rihanna, Fergie, Miley Cyrus, Underwood and others... with scores of other stars from TV, music and film, including Halle Berry, Forest Whitaker, America Ferrera, Christina Applegate, Jack Black, Salma Hayek, James Taylor, Carrie Underwood and Rob Lowe.

A slew of celebrities set to show up Sunday night as well as presenters at MTV's annual Video Music Awards... including the man of the hour Michael Phelps. Presenters will be bringing home gift bags filled with Fendi sunglasses, pairs of Puma's, a resort vacation and they'll be the first to get Rock Band Two- a week ahead of its release.

Not quite as stellar a cast of Celebrity Apprentice - rumored to be joining up the next season - Joann and Melissa Rivers along with another Olympic winner, Scott Hamilton.

Call it a warm up for her shows at Nassau Coliseum, but just days before her December 3rd and 4th shows, Tina Turner will be playing Madison Square Garden December 1st. If you've got an AmEx card, you'll be able to buy tickets starting at noon next Monday. If you don't, you're going to have to wait until the following Monday at 10am.

Britney Spears will be on stage Sunday night on the Video Music Awards- but unlike last year's show, she won't be performing.

Eddie Murphy's Dave with Mike Myers' The Love Guru a close second. And Sex and the City (which is out on DVD later this month) beat out Mamma Mia for Best Chick Flick

Things are cooking up on 30 Rock where the latest celebrity guest star gossip has Oprah Winfrey in final talks to appear in an episode this fall.

Whoever said talk is cheap isn't looking at Forbes list of the best-paid personalities who banked a combined $604 million largely on their ability to do precisely that: talk. Oprah Winfrey tops the list, pulling in $275 million over the course of the year, from her show, two self-titled magazines, her production company and will roll out the Oprah Winfrey Network in partnership with Discovery Communications. David Letterman (who owns a piece of his show plus his own production company, Worldwide Pants) and daytime TV's Judge Judy Sheindlin (whose show is a ratings phenomenon, regularly trounces all 11 other court shows and often beats daytime leader Oprah) each earned $45 million. Also on the list- Dr. Phil who raked in $40 million during the year-long period through his show, his Match.com endorsement and many best-selling books.

Hollywood had a great summer- a record breaker with Dark Knight and Iron Man pushing the box office over 4.2 billion dollars - that's 20 million more than last summer but adjusted for inflation, attendance was down 20 percent.

Cheech & Chong have added a second show at the Capital One Bank Theatre at Westbury for their Light Up America Tour. The first show, Friday, October 24, sold out so a second show, Thursday, October 23 at 8 PM, will go on sale this Friday at 12:30 PM.
 
Bones returns to FOX tonight for his 4th season. FX debuts a new drama series "Sons of Anarchy" follows bikers bent on protecting their tiny town. Sci-Fi brings back "Ghost Hunters" and "Destination Truth", Bravo kicks of season two of "Top Design" and meet the girls of cycle 11 of Tyra Bank's "America's Next Top Model"

Tomorrow Night, the NFL season opener- and before the Giants and the Redskins kick off, we'll get some pre-game entertainment from Keith Urban, Usher and Natasha Bedingfield.

Yesterday we told you that Jennifer Aniston's returning to TV to guest star on 30 Rock- now we've got the details. She'll play a stalker, Tina Fey's former roommate who shows up in New York and attaches herself to Alec Baldwin. 30 Rock returns on Oct. 30.

Dr. Frasier Crane is returning to TV. Kelsey Grammer has reprised his role for Dr. Pepper’s new “Trust Me, I’m a Doctor” campaign.

Despite the debut of five new movies over the weekend, none of them even broke $10 million, leaving "Tropic Thunder" at the top for the third week in a row. Meanwhile "Dark Knight" went over the $500 million mark becoming only the second movie in history to gross that kind of money.

Author Elinor Lipman's book "Then She Found Me" is out on DVD today. Helen Hunt, Bette Midler and Matthew Broderick star.

Tonight, "The Shield" returns for its seventh and final season on FX

Also tonight, the CW brings back "Beverly Hills 90210" - with an updated version that features a whole new student body and a few graduates of the original show including Jennie Garth's Kelly Taylor now working as a guidance counselor and Shannen Doherty guest starring during the season as the school theater director.
